Join Us as The Roundabout Breaks Ground
Mark your calendar: on Tuesday, September 8 at 11:00 AM, we’re inviting the whole community out to 1141 RR 967 — just a mile from Downtown Buda — for a community shovel ceremony celebrating a major milestone for The Roundabout in Buda.
Work on the site has actually been underway for over a month now. This event is our chance to pause, mark the occasion together, and give neighbors, tenants, and city partners a first real look at what’s coming to the corner of Buda’s fastest-growing corridor.
What to Expect
This isn’t a stand-at-a-podium kind of morning. We’re keeping it a genuine community gathering:
- La Ola Pop Shop will be on hand serving up their handmade paletas
- Trianon Coffee will be pouring cold brew
- One of our vintage cabooses — destined for a future spot on the property — will be open for viewing
- Remarks from city and community leaders, plus a look at what’s ahead for the project
Who’s Joining Us
We’re proud to be marking this milestone alongside Buda Mayor Lee Urbanovsky, City Manager Micah Grau, Jennifer Storm, CEO of the Buda Economic Development Corporation, and Monica Davidson, Executive Director of the Greater Buda Chamber of Commerce.
The Roundabout is an incentive-driven project, backed by dedicated support from both the City of Buda and the Buda EDC — a true reflection of how much this community wants to see a gathering place like this succeed.
“We’re not just building retail boxes — we’re building the kind of place where Buda comes together,” said Tim Dowling, developer of The Roundabout and founder of Buda Capital Partners.
The EDC’s involvement carries a family-first mandate: both the City and the EDC structured their incentives around delivering real community amenities — think pickleball and volleyball courts, live music, and a kids’ play area — not just storefronts.
Why It Matters
The Roundabout is an 18-acre, 9-building mixed-use development bringing 64,000 square feet of retail, dining, and entertainment to Buda — already 51% pre-leased, with nearly 9,000 homes surrounding the site. Anchor concepts include M. McCall’s Pub, a classic Irish pub, and a Moontower-style entertainment venue built around pickleball, volleyball, live music, and family play space — both from Buda Capital Partners.
Come See It for Yourself
Whether you’re a neighbor curious what’s rising along RR 967, a business owner thinking about a spot here, or just in it for the popsicles and cold brew — come by on September 8th. We’d love to see you there.
